‘QUICK FIX’ - A high energy workout involving short bursts of high intensity simple cardio moves, with lower impact intervals in between. A very effective way of building strength and stamina in a short space of time.
MAYHEM - This challenging class uses simple cardio moves to create six cycles of maximum intensity intervals, interspersed with upper and lower body conditioning, including abdominal work – all in 45 minutes! Work to your own level!
KETTLERCISE - An intensive class using kettlebells, to target posterior chain muscles, abs and cardio fitness. Guaranteed to tone and strengthen. Because of its intensity, this class is not advisable for those with any significant injuries, or for those who haven’t exercised for some time.
PRE/POSTNATAL/BEGINNERS PILATES - Designed to build a repertoire of the technique using the Five Basic Principles. Pilates is also an excellent way of maintaining strength and flexibility during pregnancy, and after delivery, to gently and gradually build up core strength and fitness. Sessions will be geared to the individual, with adaptations where necessary, whatever their level of fitness at the time.
TAI CHI - An ancient martial art from China, mainly done for health purposes in the modern age. A slow steady, low impact exercise, ideal for young and old.
CHI GUNG - Sometimes called Chinese Yoga, these gentle exercises can stretch and strengthen the body. Practiced standing with moving or stationary poses, however can be performed seated if necessary.
ONE 2 ONE PILATES - Private Pilates sessions are also available by appointment. Sometimes it is beneficial to take one or two one-to one sessions prior to joining a mainstream class, to become familiar with the the technique and provide greater confidence in a group setting. Private sessions are also perfect for recovery after injury or illness. With specialised Pilates equipment such as reformer, stability chair and Frame, Private sessions can also be a fantastic way of building up strength and flexibility with exercises geared to the individual.
