Pilates is an exercise system designed to strengthen the body, lengthen muscles and improve posture, with particular emphasis on core stability.

For this reason it is the ideal exercise for rehabilitation after injury or illness. Pilates is also excellent for general body conditioning, ante and post-natal exercising, as well as for helping to enhance the performance of athletes and dancers


Sally Ashfield BSc (Hons) STOTT PILATES®

Fully Certified Instructor, (Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels, Level 2).  From a Classical Ballet background, dancing soloist and principal roles in Europe and USA, and an original cast member of Phantom of the Opera in London.

Sally trained as a fitness instructor after her dancing career ended through injury, & went on to specialise in STOTT PILATES®.

Sally has a small equipped Pilates studio in Retford, Nottinghamshire, and also teaches  matwork Pilates in Leicestershire to individuals and groups of all ages and abilities, from beginners to advanced.

Lisa Power

Coming from a dance background, Lisa has graduated into the Fitness industry by originally attending Pilates sessions to alleviate a back injury. After discovering the many benefits of Pilates and exercise in general, Lisa became hooked and has trained in-house to develop her repertoire. Specialities include cardio, interval training and Kettlebells.
